Additional tour operator terms and conditions

The following provisions have been established by Jintra Holidays and apply in addition to the ANVR Traveller Conditions. Except for deviations permitted within those conditions themselves, these additional provisions do not detract from the ANVR Traveller Conditions and are solely intended to further strengthen the consumer’s position.
Single rooms hotels
For many hotels, single rooms are limited in availability. Although a supplement applies to this room type, the room may be slightly lower in quality in terms of size, location and/or facilities compared to a double room. For various trips, we offer the option to reserve a double room for single occupancy. A supplement also applies in this case.

2/3/4-Person Rooms
If you book one room for three or four persons, you will usually stay in a double room with an extra bed (folding bed, sofa bed or rollaway bed). For technical reasons, your voucher may state a 3- or 4-person room even if you reserved for 2 persons; in that case, you will still receive a double room on site.

Liability
The person booking a trip for other participants is jointly and severally liable for all participants he/she registers. For minor travellers, it must be demonstrated that parents/guardians have given permission. In addition, at some destinations it is not permitted to reserve a room for minors only.

Room Images
Photos of room interiors are intended to provide a general impression of the accommodation.

Cancellation Conditions (in accordance with Article 9 of the ANVR Traveller Conditions)
If the agreement is cancelled by the traveller, the tour operator will charge the following cancellation fees in addition to any reservation costs due:
* Up to the 42nd calendar day (exclusive) before departure: 30% of the travel sum
* From the 42nd calendar day (inclusive) up to the 28th calendar day (exclusive) before departure: 35%
* From the 28th calendar day (inclusive) up to the 21st calendar day (exclusive) before departure: 40%
* From the 21st calendar day (inclusive) up to the 14th calendar day (exclusive) before departure: 50%
* From the 14th calendar day (inclusive) up to the 5th calendar day (exclusive) before departure: 75%
* From the 5th calendar day (inclusive) up to the day of departure: 90%
* On the day of departure or later: 100% of the travel sum

Deviating Cancellation Conditions
In some cases, based on the cancellation policies of our suppliers (e.g., airlines or accommodations), we may need to deviate from the above provisions. During the booking process, we will specify the applicable cancellation fees. Due to international and local circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, war threats, pandemics), travel advisories may change frequently. In the event of an orange travel advisory, the government advises travel only if necessary. If you book under such circumstances, we assume this is a deliberate choice. Should you later wish to cancel, the regular cancellation conditions apply.

Baggage (Air Travel)
Both checked and hand luggage are subject to weight and size limits. As these vary by destination and airline, we advise you to check the airline’s conditions carefully before departure. With several airlines (including KLM and Transavia), especially on European routes, a surcharge may apply for checked baggage or even hand luggage. Exceptional baggage (e.g., ski equipment, golf bags, diving equipment) is subject to airline-specific conditions and surcharges. We advise you to clearly label your baggage inside and outside with your name, place of residence, mobile number and holiday address. Jintra Holidays is not responsible for lost luggage and can only offer mediation in such cases.

Limitations
Travellers must fully inform the tour operator of any personal limitations (or those of fellow travellers) and the specific requirements regarding care and accommodation. Failure to do so may prevent the tour operator from adequately considering these limitations and may release the operator from liability for resulting issues.

Payment Conditions (in addition to Article 10 of the ANVR Traveller Conditions)
* Upon conclusion of the agreement, a deposit of 30% of the total travel sum is required.
* The remaining balance must be paid no later than six weeks before departure.
* If the agreement is concluded within six weeks before departure, the full travel sum must be paid immediately.

Contact
We kindly request that you provide your mobile phone number at booking so we can reach you quickly in case of emergency.

Credit Card & Deposit
It is often necessary to bring a credit card. Without one, you may not receive your rental car or be able to check into your accommodation. For car rentals, the credit card must be in the name of the driver (who must also be the main booker). Ensure your credit limit is sufficient to cover the deposit. Jintra Holidays accepts no liability for the refund of deposits, whether or not deductions have been made.

Partial Cancellation
If one traveller from a group cancels their participation in a joint stay (hotel, apartment, holiday home or other accommodation), cancellation fees apply. If the remaining group size appears in the price table, the tour operator will propose an adjusted arrangement for the same period and accommodation. If this is not possible or not accepted, the agreement will be cancelled for all travellers, and cancellation fees apply to all. The total of cancellation fees and revised travel sums will not exceed the original total travel sum. Any excess will be deducted from the new travel sum. Cancellations outside office hours are deemed to have been made on the next working day.

Dietary Meals
If you require a special diet, please inform us at the time of booking. Your dietary request remains a preference, which we cannot guarantee.

European Package Travel Directive
The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302. You are therefore entitled to all EU rights applicable to package travel. Jintra Holidays is fully responsible for the proper performance of the entire package. Jintra Holidays also provides legally required insolvency protection to refund your payments and, if transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event of insolvency. You can review your key rights under Directive (EU) 2015/2302 via: https://richtlijnpakketreizen.nl/

Local Excursions
Excursions and other activities booked locally fall outside the control of Jintra Holidays. Jintra Holidays or its representatives abroad publish and mediate these services purely as a courtesy. Local agents or organizations are liable and responsible for their execution. Some high-risk activities may not be covered by travel or cancellation insurance; please verify this before participating. We accept no responsibility for any damage and/or consequential damage resulting from accidents. If excursions are included in the travel package, this does not include entrance or guide fees unless explicitly stated.

Additional Excursions and Tickets
At various destinations, you can reserve interesting excursions, football tickets, shows, musicals or concerts at the time of booking your holiday. These tickets are reserved through local theatre agencies or our local agents. In rare cases, an additional product may be cancelled due to insufficient participation or being sold out. This does not constitute valid grounds for cancelling the entire trip. We will, of course, attempt to offer an equivalent alternative if desired.

Public Holidays / Opening Hours
Various national, regional and local holidays are observed abroad. During your stay, facilities such as accommodation amenities, shops, museums or attractions may be closed. Public transport services may also operate on a reduced schedule. We ask for your understanding and cannot accept liability for such circumstances.

Hotel Changes
For published trips, it is always possible that hotel changes may be necessary at a late stage or even during the trip. We ask for your understanding.

Infrastructure
In many countries, infrastructure may not be comparable to that of the Netherlands. Interruptions in electricity, water supply or telephone connections may occur. Hot water may sometimes be generated via solar panels and is therefore weather-dependent. Road quality may also differ from what you are accustomed to. We cannot accept liability for such matters.

Correct Name
Your first given name and surname on flight tickets, ferry vouchers or cruise documents must exactly match the details in your passport. If discrepancies occur, the airline, ferry or cruise company may deny boarding. We are not liable for costs arising from reissuing tickets or consequences of such refusal. Please carefully check your name upon receipt of your travel documents to avoid additional costs.

Costs Included / Not Included
Not all costs are included in the travel sum. If we mention prices for tourist tax, final cleaning, baby cots, parking, air conditioning, sunbeds, umbrellas, safes, TV, shuttle services, beach access, (water)sports, optional excursions, etc., these are subject to change. Sometimes facilities such as swimming pools or saunas are free of charge; sometimes they are not. If no information is provided, this was unknown at the time of publication.

Deficiencies
If you notice a deficiency during your stay or trip, report it immediately to the service provider, tour leader, driver or local representative so a solution can be found promptly. If the issue is not resolved satisfactorily, request written confirmation and contact our head office immediately. We are available 24 hours a day. If deficiencies are not reported as described while on destination, we cannot process your complaint afterward. Keep proof of payment for any additional expenses incurred. Complaints must be submitted in writing within two months after returning to the Netherlands, either directly to us or via your booking office. Late complaints cannot be processed (see Article 12 of the ANVR Traveller Conditions).

Force Majeure
We cannot accept responsibility for work stoppages, strikes or similar events organized locally or regionally that negatively affect your holiday. In cases of force majeure, we are also powerless.

Parking
Parking spaces for your (rental) car are not included in our trips. Many hotels offer parking facilities. We recommend contacting your accommodation prior to arrival to reserve a parking space. In some cases, hotels may not have parking facilities and you may need to park on the street or in a parking garage at your own expense.

Preferences and Essentials
If you have special requests (preferences) regarding the published travel offer, you may indicate these at booking. Preferences are forwarded to the supplier and/or accommodation provider but are not guaranteed. If a request is essential, it must be specified as an “essential.” The feasibility of an essential request will be checked and becomes an additional clause in the travel agreement. A fee of €27 applies for processing an essential request. If the essential request cannot be fulfilled, €14 in administrative costs will still be charged.

Privacy Statement
Jintra Holidays values the protection of your personal data. We comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that:
* We process personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, as described in our Privacy Statement (www.jintraholidays.com/privacy).
* Processing is limited to the minimum data necessary.
* We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
* We do not share personal data with third parties unless necessary for the intended purpose.
* We are aware of your rights regarding your personal data and respect them.

Travel Advisories and Protocols
Travel advisories per country can be found at www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl. We advise you to review the latest travel advisories and protocols before departure.

Travel Documents
You are responsible for ensuring that you possess the required travel and border documents at departure, during your trip and upon return to the Netherlands (ANVR Traveller Conditions, Article 2.5).

Travel Duration / Insurance
Travel duration is stated in full days. Even if departure is late at night or return is early in the morning, these days count toward the total duration for insurance purposes. We recommend taking out comprehensive travel, baggage, accident and cancellation insurance.

Reservations
When booking, you must provide all relevant participant details that may affect the execution of the trip (ANVR Traveller Conditions, Article 3.1). You must verify the accuracy of the booking confirmation/invoice and travel documents. A booking “on request” is considered a definitive booking and cannot be cancelled free of charge. The person making the booking must be of legal age. Only the tour operator may revoke the booking after acceptance, within 24 hours (Europe/Mediterranean) or 48 hours (other destinations), stating reasons. Revocation due to calculation errors or price increases must comply with Articles 4.4 and 5 of the ANVR Traveller Conditions. A telephone booking confirmed by email or post constitutes a definitive booking.

Cleaning
If the room is not cleaned properly according to local standards, report this immediately to reception/owner to allow correction. Cleaning may not take place on national holidays or Sundays.

Studios / Apartments / Bungalows / Campsites
Descriptions and images of interiors and exteriors may differ from reality. Many accommodations are privately owned and furnished according to the owner’s taste. Sofa beds are often located in the living room.

Tourist Tax
Tourist tax may be payable locally and must be paid directly to the accommodation provider. Prices mentioned online or on vouchers are indicative and subject to change. Local authorities may introduce or increase tourist taxes after publication.

Surcharges
We reserve the right to pass on unforeseen surcharges imposed by governments, airport authorities (e.g., security charges, airport taxes), fuel surcharges (air and coach travel) due to increases in kerosene or diesel prices, and other taxes resulting from calamities, wars or weather conditions, even if the travel sum has already been partially or fully paid. If entrance fees included in the travel sum increase, we may charge the difference. Airport taxes and fuel surcharges vary by airport and airline. Alternative routes or airlines may involve different surcharges.

Transfers
A transfer is transportation from the airport to your reserved accommodation and back. Transfers are not always included in the travel sum unless stated. For many destinations, transfers can be booked at an additional cost.

Errors
Obvious errors and mistakes in our brochures or on our website are not binding. We reserve the right to correct these via errata communicated through your travel agent.

Catering Arrangements
The following meal plans may apply:
* Accommodation only: overnight stay only
* Bed & Breakfast: overnight stay and breakfast • Half board: overnight stay, breakfast and dinner (from dinner on the first day through breakfast on the last day)
* Full board: overnight stay, breakfast, lunch and dinner (from dinner on the first day through lunch on the last day)
* All Inclusive: as full board, plus drinks during specified hours (see accommodation description) Meal service may change from buffet to table service or vice versa. À la carte meals are never included. Some trips may have different meal arrangements as specified in the price table. Due to early/late departures or delays, you may be unable to use meals on the first and/or last day. Jintra Holidays cannot accept liability for this.

Amendments and Substitution
Conditions for amendments and substitution are outlined in Article 8 of the ANVR Traveller Conditions. Amendments are generally possible up to 28 days before departure for €27 per booking, plus any supplier charges. Scheduled flights may have stricter conditions; once tickets are issued, 100% cancellation or amendment fees apply. Substitution may not be possible with many airlines and is treated as a cancellation.

Swimming Pools
Many hotels and apartments have swimming pools. For hygiene reasons and in accordance with local regulations, pools are cleaned regularly. In case of major maintenance, alternatives may be offered (e.g., use of a nearby hotel’s facilities). We cannot accept responsibility for limited inconvenience. Despite hygiene measures, bacteria may occasionally occur; we accept no liability. Swimming caps or specific swimwear may be required. Outdoor pools may be closed in low season without prior notice.
